Monday evening on 24 September saw the inaugural match of the new QBSA Premier Billiards League held at our club. The match featured 8 of the top billiards players from Buderim, Matchroom, Redcliffe and Sherwood clubs. Representing our club were Jeff Pickering and Dave Armstrong. Each match was scheduled to last 75 minutes and in that time there were two scores of over 300 points achieved. For Buderim, Jeff Pickering won his game and Dave Armstrong’s game resulted in a tie. A number of Buderim members attended the competition to watch the games and appreciate the high standard of play. The visiting players commented favourably upon the good facilities and the quality of the tables at our club. The next round of this competition will be held at the Redcliffe club on 3 October.
