Last Sunday saw 7 players play off for the right to be named the snooker “Champion of Champions” for the year 2020-2021 (there was insufficient time to hold this competition last year). After two sets of round-robin matches the final saw Mark Nixey take on Bob Pearce for the title. This is a handicap competition with only one frame per match. The two finalists were ranked almost equally on handicap and the first half of the final saw both players with very close scores. However, Mark ran away with the game in the latter stages to emerge a convincing winner. Congratulations to Mark and all those who took part for providing some very entertaining snooker.
