On Tuesday 18 September the club held its final social competition for the year. This annual competition is played in a handicap pairs format with a special set of rules designed to reflect its objective of providing a fun night for the participants. For example, every red potted scores 10 points and all of the balls, including the colours, can be potted in any order whilst all fouls result in a loss of 4 points.
On the night there were 16 players taking part and each player played a total of 4 games, each with a different partner. Game time was limited to 20 minutes and each player’s score was added cumulatively to previous results. At the completion of all matches the highest total was achieved by Andy Herbel with Judith Swanson the runner-up.
The night concluded with pizzas and refreshments to finish off a very enjoyable evening for all concerned.
