It is with great sadness that the Buderim Billiards and Snooker Club announces the recent passing of one of its members – Shane Bridley. Shane was 70 years old and had been a member since 2015. Although being new to playing on full-size tables Shane met with great success in 2016, winning both the B Grade Snooker and Billiards as well as taking out the Champion of Champions Competition. In the same year he received the award for the Most Improved player.
Not only did Shane participate enthusiastically in the Club’s competitions he also quickly established numerous friendships with other members and helped out with various small maintenance tasks. Shane also helped to build the club’s finances by volunteering to assist with sausage sizzles.
The Club would like to extend its condolences to Shane’s family at this difficult time.
