Earlier this week, the club was sad to learn that one of its members, Brian Bowser, had passed away. Brian was a previous President of the club for 14 years and was a Life Member – his membership spanning a period of more than 30 years. During his time as President, Brian worked tirelessly to keep it in a sound financial position and to maintain the facilities in good condition. Brian always enjoyed his snooker and, as well as entering club competitions, regularly attended the Tuesday social night. In 2015, together with his brother Keith, he donated a shield for a handicap pairs competition. The club offers its thoughts and sympathy to Brian’s family at this distressing time.
