The Committee has authorised the purchase of new lights for our tables to replace the existing ones which are no longer in a good state of repair. The new lights will be the Timesafe Luminaire made by Peradon. These are state-of-the-art lights that provide excellent lighting across the whole table without any shadowing from cushions and minimise shadows from balls. As well as the new lighting, each table is to be fitted with new nets, leathers and rails – with the rails near the black spot being extra long. With these modifications, members can enjoy playing playing under the best of conditions for the game. Installation of the new lights will be done in the morning on Wednesday 2 January at which time the tables will be unavailable for play.
