The Chadwick Shield, the Snooker A grade club championship (no handicaps) final was decided on 20th June 2024.
The finalists being Darrin Van Duin and Graham Baker.
To reach the final Graham defeated Ryan Cairney and Darrin defeated Conrad Grabish.
The match was played as the best of 5 frames and from the outset this was always going to be a ‘tight’ match.
Some very good but careful play followed and after four frames the score stood at two frames each, so the match went to a decider.
In the fifth frame a few mistakes were made by both players which could have changed the result either way, however Darrin came out the winner with Graham conceding on the blue.
