There are two full-size tables available during the social mornings on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 8am while there is a social night each Tuesday from 7.30pm. The club caters for players of all standards, from novices to experts, and becoming a member is easy.

Internal competitions are held throughout the year and the highlight of the calendar is the Anniversary Shield, which attracts some of the state’s best. Teams from Buderim also compete in the Brisbane and District Pennant snooker and billiards competitions.

The club is on the corner of Main and Church Streets, Buderim.

Newsflash

John Wells will defend the I Spy Pies Anniversary Shield next month against some of the best players between Gympie and Bribie Island. Wells broke through for his first major victory last year, but he will face a test at the Buderim Snooker Club on Sunday August 24 to collect back-to-back trophies.

The eight-man field includes the former winners David Armstrong, Kevin Bowring and Ray Steele. Bowring and Steele will travel down from Gympie for the invitational tournament while Peter Warwick, last year's A-grade champion, will come from Bribie Island.

Local player Tristan Claridge makes up the contenders along with Gympie’s Cliff Hanson and Glen Sankey. The round-robin contest will begin at 8am and all members and guests are welcome to attend.

The following night (Monday August 25) Danik Lucas and his S8 team arrive to take on Buderim in the Brisbane A-grade billiards competition. Buderim’s side will be led by the experienced Graham Baker, but they will need to be at their best to conquer Lucas, a former Oceania champion, and his highly-credentialled outfit.
